We constantly say the gold is in the follow up. How true is it? Well, let me tell you about my day.
I decided to start contacting local business owners for the BPP. I made lots of calls and sent an e-mail as well for good measure. Then I started thinking about all of the people that I know that own a business so then I changed my approach. I decided now that I have my business listed on the Local Merchant Mall that I would send out letters to the businesses I know from a fellow business owner that I have found a great way to advertise my business for almost nothing and I wanted to talk to them. Boy do I have even more follow up and calls to make tomorrow now.
Next I sent yet another follow up e-mail asking to set up a time to talk with an NPO that I have been talking to for more then a year. When I started with my power mall I set up a mall to benefit this NPO. I called them and told them all about it and they were extremely excited. Then the President just passed it through to his National office and it got tabled because they were already looking into similar programs and they had not yet made a decision. No problem, I still built a great business to benefit that NPO and he and I check in with each other every few months and we ALWAYS talk about My Power Mall. Well last week I received an e-mail from Shawn that my NPO would be the featured NPO of the week next 12/15-12/21. Was I excited! So I of course send an e-mail to the President of the National MS Society and tell him about all of the updates in the past few months. I have mentioned the new mall before but didn't ever go into too much detail. I didn't hear back from him, which is unlike him, he has even called me from vacation to say I got your e-mail but I'm on vacation so can we talk when I get back? So today, back to where this story started, I sent another e-mail asking him when we could talk today. Boy am I glad I did. He never received the last e-mail and he was so happy to hear about being chosen as the featured NPO of the week. I told him all about the world changer Mall and how now NPO's can get one at no charge. I explained that even if they were not ready to take another look at MPM they would still receive the check but... what we could do is send out a newsletter with a featured article about MPM and how people can support the NMSS while helping create their own funds. He said "Wow" and you could just hear it in his voice... I will talk to them again tomorrow and get something ready for their newsletter and see where this takes them.
I am so excited for what this could mean for them. My mission is to fund a cure for MS and maybe this could be the way I can achieve my goals. Although this mission is selfish I know that it will not only help me but millions of other people suffering from MS.
For now I am going to head to bed but tomorrow is a brand new day and I for one can't wait!
Hope you all have a great day,
Jacki
